Hi ---

My gaming PC has an ASUS TUF X570-Plus MoBo with wireless:

Unfortunately, the wireless is a bit slow I would like to know if I have the option to upgrade my wireless connection. For example, would it be a problem to install a wireless card into the PCIe slot and disable the integrated wireless? And, are there other options I should consider?

My OS is Windows 10.

Update: I installed the antennae on the back and it works perfectly now. I also heard back from one of your moderators in networking that I can upgrade to another card should I choose to do so in the future. Thanks for all your help!!!

Sure, you can add a PCIe card or USB wireless dongle and just turn off the motherboard wireless in the bios or disable it in the device manager.

By the way, that motherboard has an Intel AC-9260 card in it, which is pretty solidly mid-market (2x2 AC Wave 2), so you will need to look for a fairly high-end card if you want to do better.

A reasonable upgrade would be a 3x3 or 4x4 card (probably marketed as AC1900 (3x3) or AC3100 (4x4)) with remote antennas (antennas separate from the card).
