Mobo leds turn on, power doesn't

My motherboard's LEDs turn on when I turn on my PSU, but nothing starts when I hit start button, this is my first computer build from scratch

Mobo is asus rampage V extreme
cpu is i7 5960x
cpu fan is coolermaster v8gts
gpu is gtx780ti ghz edition
ram is adata xpg 16gb 2133mhz
psu is corsair ax760
using a 2tb HDD, not sure about speed, got more stuff to hook up but not doing it until these are solved
if it helps the case is a coolermaster HAF 992

I saw some general troubleshooting threads which I went through but haven't found the solution to this yet, I would appreciate help on this greatly.

And you've connected the 24 pin, 4/8 ATX 12v and CPU fan to the header?

If that ram is 1 x16 GB stick, it wont support 1 16 GB stick in one slot. It supports up to 64 GB and it's got 8 slots.

So it'll only support up to 8 GB in one slot

Yeah 24 pin is on 24, my PSU has 4pin ATX 12v and CPU fan is where it should be according to manual

The ram is two 8gb cards but I'm only using one 8gb for the sake of troubleshooting, sorry I didn't make that clear.

Hmm ok try pressing the memok button see if it does something

Make sure the ram (if you put 2 of them in) are in the right slots too

I pressed the memok button the first time around, but I thought it might be easier to picture the whole thing with some photos I took, the mobo is outside the case until it works, if it does.

This is the 24pin ATX, the 4pin 12V and the CPU fan.

Short the pwr and gnd pins on the system panel connector on the mobo. With a screwdriver. What happens?

Touched the pins with a screwdriver, nothing happened. Is my PSU busted?

Since it supports USB BIOS flashback get the BIOS extract it. Copy it to a flash drive. Put it in whatever USB port, read the manual (if you have to rename it) then press the USB BIOS flashback button on the back

Wait for it to finish flashing. Then see if it works

Sorry for the late reply, I tried doing that just now and it still doesn't work, so I'm guessing there's a faulty component in here?
