[SOLVED] Mobo no signs of power

Just got my asus strix B450
but im wondering if its supposed to show no signs of power when no RAM no CPU nothing but the CPU 8 pins are plugged in and the 24 Pin, (no cpu yet) just wondering if this is supposed to happen??? its worrying mr

You need to complete the build for it to post. It's normal , your build is incomplete.

To be honest, I don't know, I wouldn't expect it to be a problem... but I wouldn't be plugging my system in and powering on the PSU before it was complete, anyway.

Well, remember that at least some of the MSI Mbs will flash updated BIOS code with nothing on the motherboard....so, maybe the Asus in question is OK with it.

So even the onboard RGB on the mobo wont light atall without the cpu and ram etc?? im unaware as to if this is normal

im not tryinf to flash the BIOS im seeing if it showing no signs of power atall is normal without the other components

You were already informed that it is best to wait until the system is fully constructed. Don't allow impatience to cause you to damage the components you have already paid for.
