Hi guys,

I'm currently assembling a new pc and had some trouble seating the mobo (msi mag x870e) in the case (antec flux pro): some screws are a bit off center (see pics).

I tried to reseat it twice but this is the best I managed to do. Now that I've plugged almost everything, the position of some screws is bugging me (specifically the one in the bottom left corner) and i'm wondering if 1) it is an issue and 2) is mobo is at risk (it is bending or there is some other issue explaining this result).

Thanks !

You've include 3 pictures of your motherboard in the case, showing the screws and their respective mountings, which picture are you using to refer to the bottom left hand corner?

1) it is an issue and 2) mobo is at risk (it is bending or there is some other issue explaining this result).
You're overthinking it, IMHO, as I see all the screws are in the correct holes for the motherboard holes onto the standoffs and the rear I/O shield isn't warped/bent out of shape.

First pic, screw close to the multicolor hd audio cable.
I've taken 3 pics of each of the screws on the left side of the mobo, which are the more misaligned.

Upon rechecking the io panel, it seems very slightly rotated to the right (some space is visible on the top left and bottom right). But I don't think it is an issue.

Looks fine.
Could not spot any "off center" misalignments.

In your photos I can't properly see
top middle screw and
center screw - next to top M.2 heatsink.
Are those installed?
Yes, here are some close up :

Normal in most cases.
The rear output panel has small grounding fingers that press against the I/O shield.
If you slightly loosen all of the screws, then slightly push the motherboard toward the rear of the case . This increases the tension on the grounding fingers.
While holding it perfectly aligned re-tighten the screws for perfect alignment.

That's what I did. I had to push on the io shield in order to be able to put all screws in.
Then I tightened them. Maybe i should have keep pushing on the io shield while tightening.
Looks good.

At beginning you put screws in loosely.
Then after board has been aligned properly (usually there is ~1-2mm wiggle room),
only then you tighten the screws.

Yes , if you want a perfect fit.
The screw holes are 1-1.5 mm oversized for the screw diameter.
Makes for easier install but you have to tweek it to get perfect alignment.
I know. I KNOW ! gotta be perfect. then overclock the crap out of it😀
