Mobo not starting unless I hit on board start button.

Hi,

Every time I shut down my PC, I cannot start it up again unless I press the on board start button first. Not sure why this is, any help would be greatly appreciated.

By onboard, you mean physically on the mobo? the case switch doesn't work? If so it may be you have it (the two wire connection from the switch to the mobo reversed (plugged in backwards) i.e. if looking at it, there's a green and a white wire, flip the plug around on the pins
