Question Mobo or CPU issue?

Just did a complete upgrade (mobo,cpu,gpu,cpu) on my pc recently and it ran fine for about 4 days. Then when I tried to turn my computer off, the monitors went black and the tower got ‘stuck’ on. I waited about 30 min and it was still in that state. I then turned it off from the psu switch. Took it into a repair shop and after two days they told me either the mobo or cpu are bad. Their diag was the exact same as mine. PSU is fine and all other components are brand new. Mobo lights up but nothing starts it. These are my specs:

• MOBO is an ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING
• CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 2600
• GPU is a Zotac gtx 1070
• PSU is a EVGA 600w

Only way to know for sure is trying new parts. However personally I have never seen a cpu die but I have seen plenty of dead motherboards. Based on this I would say a dead motherboard is most likely.
