The title pretty much says it all. I have been planning a NAS build on an old Dell Optiplex 760 and I am balking at some of the info that I've come across. This MOBO and BIOS does not support RAID according to DELL and I have yet to find a thread with a workaround. My concern is if I need to buy a PCI RAID card for this build in order to utilize RAID Z within freeNAS? If this can work it definitely sounds like the best option for what I am seeking. So, RAID card or not?
