Mobo/RAM Issue: Biostar TForce 5550 + PNY 667 DDR@

Hi, newbie here. Anyone have experience with the Biostar TForce 550 (AMD socket AM2) and PNY 667 DDR2 2*1 GB sticks? I'm getting random BSOD's with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL messages, and have heard that AMD socket AM2 motherboards have trouble with some RAM. Is there anyone out there with some info on this board and RAM that matches well with it? Thanks!

For socket AM2 you need DDR2 800 memory generally.
What is your processor?
Run Memtest86+. You may have faulty memory.

Ok, but wouldn't the board be backward compatible to 667? Processor: AMD 64 X2 4400 2.3 gHz.

You want DDR2 800 to run at stock speeds.
DDR2 667 will run, but it will slow down the system a little.

Download and run memtest86+ overnight to see if it spots any errors.
