help everyone please i have an i7 3770 and a gtx 980 with an asus h61m k . i was forced to buy an 8gb of ram stick in this mobo because the SLOT number 2 isn't working at all, and everything. EVERYTHING else works perfectly fine. i updated bios latest version. i did reset the bios. i checked the cpu pins, nothing is wrong. i cleaned the slot. but nothing is working when installed several ram sticks in that slot nothing worked, no signal and the pc seems running but when i push the turn off button it dosen.t turn off until i hold it or remove the power cable, after i remove the ram from it and turn on the pc it says. overclocking settings failed , please enter bios to re configure your settings. please please please help guys please

Solution
try to clear your CMOS settings by removing the Cell from motherboard and use only one ram stick and try it in different slots it must be bios issue unless its a hardware your board supports ram og 8GB single stick right?
unfortunately it's a hardware issue, i am gaming with the 8gb single stick but it's just not enough, guess i am gonna go for another mobo, if i can find it, watch dogs 2 was my proof , it took about 6gb of memory and seeked the virtual memory so it stuttered, not a big deal but it does stutter
