MOBO SETTINGS for ASUS Z97-K and CPU I7 4790k

I need help to set my Motherboard settings and for Cpu for over clocking and normal use
I HAD
GTX 760 DIRECT OC EDITION
8gb ram
Please give me help

Leave the mobo bios at the default settings to start with.

You need a good CPU cooler to start with. What you got?

Is OK but not for OCing an i7. You need eg Corsair H100i (water cooler) or Noctua NH D15. About $100. And they need to fit your case.

If you don't OC your i7, it'll self turbo to 4.4GHz anyway. And if you do OC it you'd only be able to run it at 4.7GHz before it gets too hot. I think it's a CPU that's not really worth OCing.

my pc is running slow , i think overclocking may speed up

As I said - the i7 4790k will self turbo to 4.4GHz without overclocking it. You'd have to get a good/expensive cooler to get another 5% out of it.

Check temps. Maybe it's already getting too hot.
