Mobo sound card good enough?

I am planning new pair of headphones, and was wondering if my current build in soudcard would be good, i have a MSI B350 Tomahawk, with a Eight-channel Realtek ALC892 Codec sound card, ive read that its a older part, would it be fine for $100-150 headphones, like cloud alphas or game ones? id like to hear my games as good as the headphones can do.

The onboard will be more than fine for that.

I detest onboard audio. Have a looke at a good external dac/amp. I just got a Schiit Fulla2. It’s freaking awesome for 99$
