Using stock fios router provided upon installation....on average I get about 40-50 MBs/s through steam downloading. (yes, yes I'm sure there are more official ways of testing speed, this way just happens to be most relevant to my usage) Wondering if upgrading my router will yield significant gains in speed....I know pretty much nothing about networking except typing in passwords and go lol.

50MB/s (megabytes) is 400Mb/s. What speed are you paying for from FIOS? Since you asking about WIFI6, I asume your current connection is via WIFI. 400Mb/s is very good for WIFI performance.

50MB/s (megabytes) is 400Mb/s. What speed are you paying for from FIOS? Since you asking about WIFI6, I asume your current connection is via WIFI. 400Mb/s is very good for WIFI performance.
