Should I get the Asus z97 pro with wifi or should I get the Asus Maximus 7 hero and add a wifi card?

What are the advantages of having The hero over the z97 pro? My build is for gaming and I know that the hero is a gaming motherboard but what new features will it give me?

Please make your reply as detailed as possible. Thank you in advance ( this really helps me a lot)!

The best motherboard in my opinion for any 4th Gen CPU by Intel is the Asus Maximum Hero VII which you listed. It is great for overclocking and also great onboard sound (I don't and haven't own one though but have hear great reviews).

And I guess you will be gaming wirelessly then just add a wireless network adapter, go with PCI Express instead of USB.

I prefer the Hero, the Z87 Hero was the creme of the Z87 mobos, so when released I grabbed the Z97 (both in sig) and it's even better, great OCer, runs nice and cool, handles DRAM very well, great BIOS....for networking I prefer ethernet, though it's easy to add wireless...and I myself prefer the USB, having a card in the back you often have the antenna(s) sticking out the back and can get interference from all the power cables that are often back there (PSU, monitor(s), speakers, modem/router, switch, printer(s), phone, etc

Both boards are good, so pick either one. Both supports up to 32GB @ 3200 (o.c.). The Pro has SATA Express and M.2, Hero only has M.2, but it does have some exclusive ROG features like SSD Secure Erase, LanGuard, and KeyBot.
They all have the same number of PCIe x16 slots. The Pro has 2x front USB 3 internal headers, Hero only has 1.
The Audio Line on the Hero lights up, Pro does not. Pro and Hero has a total of 6 fan headers (2x CPU(opt)/ 4x Chassis)
The Pro has 2 versions, one with Wifi and one without.
