Mobo won't post with 2 sticks of RAM in

RAM is Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400.
Mobo is MSI Z170A M5.

I'm thinking something in the bios is keeping me from running dual channel?

The board posts (in order): 55, 0d, 19, 00, 4C

What CPU do you have installed? Will it boot into the bios with two sticks installed? Have you tried setting the XMP profile for the memory in the bios with one stick installed, and then saving the bios settings, shutting down and installing the other stick and then rebooting?

Are the modules installed in the correct slots according to the population rules in the motherboard manual?

You may need to increase the DRAM voltage slightly. To do so, you might have to access the bios with one stick installed, enter the DRAM voltage settings, bump the voltage slightly (I needed 1.36v on my DDR4 3000 sticks) and then save settings, install the other stick and reboot.

I gave the DRAM voltage a tweak to your suggested setting. No dice.

I additionally checked the slots. I'm using the proper configuration.

I'm not getting BIOS with 2 sticks installed.

I have XMP enabled, but I'm unsure how to adjust the settings.

Yes. This is the Gaming M5.

And yes, I bought these modules as a matched set. I wouldn't gamble with mixing memory sticks.

memory frequency if you want to operate the memory at the marked or at a higher
frequency.

I'm guessing you already did that, or no? Have you tried setting the memory speed to 2133mhz in the BIOS, saving the settings and then install the second module? With one module installed, is the memory being reported at 2400mhz or 2133mhz?

You never answered what CPU you have installed.

I'd also check to see if there is a BIOS update available. If you're in EZ mode bios view, you'll want to switch to Advanced, and save the setting for the advanced view being default from now on. There should be a setting in there to do that as well.

Pressing F7 will switch you from advanced to EZ and back, if you prefer.

If you have overclocked the CPU at all, I'd return it to standard settings until you resolve the DRAM issue. Might not be a bad idea to simply reset to optimal default settings as a place to start, if you haven't done that already. Pressing F6 while in the BIOS will load the optimal defaults.

You can also try installing both modules with the power disconnected from the back of the PSU, removing the CMOS battery for a minute or five, reinstalling the cmos battery, plugging the power cable back in and rebooting. Probably won't be the fix, but I've seen it work by resetting the hardware tables before.

In the bios, under XMP profile settings, check to see that the DRAM settings are the correct ones for your modules are there are probably two separate XMP profiles and one or the other may not work at the advertised speed or voltage you are expecting. Usually though, profile 1 is the correct profile.

To go down the line, yes. The Memory is in the second and fourth DIMM slots, as per the manual.

Under the "Memory Try It!" settings I have options of: Micron, Hynix, and Samsung, after which I can choose frequencies, but only frequencies that are higher than my current 2400 (2666 CL16 is the next option on all three)

I can set it to 2133 via the general frequency settings and will do so after this post.

The memory is currently being reported as 2400 at voltage 1.36v.

My CPU is a Intel I5 3.5 Skylake.

My only other concern is I don't have access to XMP profiles. Just a simple "On/Off" switch.

This is straight from your motherboard manual. The options should be there if they exist on the module.
