Mobo won't power

I just got the parts for my second build and I'm having problems already. My psu (corsair cx750) runs with the paperclip test, but when hooked to the mobo (Asrock z97 extreme6 motherboard) I get absolutely nothing. Any ideas?

i5-4690k (haswell devils canyon) . Mistitled a little bit. It wont show any sign of power. I'd think regardless of components it should power.

It wont do anything, if the BIOS thats on the mobo doesnt support that CPU without a BIOS update

The mobo needs BIOS 1.30 to support that CPU

1150 Core i5 i5-4690K (C0) Haswell-R 3.5GHz 6MB 88W P1.30

Does it say a version by the BIOS?? Or on the box?

I assume BIOS 1.40 as of 9/23/2014

Not sure (only my second build) but the handbook says it may change and to check the site. The site says 1.40, the disk says 1.40. However, I can't get it to power to install anything.

Yer the disk may say 1.40 but it doesnt mean it's on it now. WHAT does the mobo say by the BIOS chip?? Anything?
