Mobo won't recognize my GPU

Currently have the Radeon HD 7950 & ASRock Z75 Pro 3 mobo (built myself, not premade). I originally had the same/current problem of the mobo straight up not recognizing that my GPU even exists.

I have no idea how I eventually made it work, other than brute force redownloading. Anyways, I've done a complete HDD wipe with a fresh Windows 7 install and the same thing's happening again. Running off my Intel HD graphics right now, but I need to get this GPU working so I can play some games.

When I download the drivers from AMD, it'll take forever, then tell me it failed installing the display driver. If I look on my device manager, it says I have "Intel HD Graphics", and "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". There's no mention of anything else.

So, ideas?

You have to select the video cad option in the bios for it to be in use. Also, you need to ensure the video card power cables are all connected and the motherboard onnectors are also connected.
■500W (or greater) power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended

[strike]The only option was to change the North Bridge from "PCI Express" to "PCI". Tried it and it's still not showing my GPU on the PC. Connectors are definitely plugged in, and my PSU is plenty over the minimum watts I need.

Like I said, it was all working before, after I somehow fixed it, but now that I've wiped my PC - same problems.[/strike]
Nevermind, I guess it worked :S
