Hello I've recently bought new computer with that hardware:
Graphic card: Radeon r9 280X
CPU: AMD FX 6300
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
Memory: Patriot DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 XMP Viper 3

And now the problem:

When i stick listed DIMMs computer won't start up and there is no POST.

When I install my previous memory (kingston 1333 MHZ 2x 2GB) everything is fine.

When i install my old and new DIMMs all together it is OK but in BIOS I can't see new DIMMs. Just 1333 MHz coming from old ones BUT I can still see 12 GB of memory installed.
Unfortunately after few minutes spent on doing anything on computer it shuts down.

  • Maybe if I would manually change frequency to 1600 it would have worked but I cant change memory frequency (old DIMMs doesn't support XMP).

    Any solutions pleeeease? :)

If it wouldn't have been supported shouldn't the computer not even boot up to windows instead shutting down after few minutes of usage? I tried every single configuration but with new stick it just fails to work properly. Any other suggestion?

Well it might be the problem. My DIMMs seem not to be supported. Thanks :) Now only one month of waiting for new DIMMs...
