Mobo's Max supported ram.

Well, let's take for example Am2 socket Asus M2V-MX, and in some informacional websites it says "Max supported memory - 4gb". So I can put 4x2 or 2x2?? What does it means? Max supported stick memory or max mobo's supported rams? Pls help me!

Max supported memory is the motherboard max. So in the case of the Asus M2V-MX, which has two slots, 2 sticks of 2GB.

See that it tells the DIMM sizes, but states caveats about two 2 GB DIMMs. There are no 2 GB DIMMs listed in the memory support list.
