mobo's onboard soundcard not working?

This is my first build gaming pc, i have a M5a78l-m/usb mobo. When i finished build and installed windows, I then install the latestest drivers. But my problem is that my mobo can't make sound on it's own.When i use earphones the sound come out. I don't know if my mobo have a onboard sound card, if it do can anyone tell me how to active it?

Go into device manager and enable your audio drivers or if you have not downloaded the driver for your onboard audio do that first.

then buy a usb audio device and use that thats your easiest fix
