So I currently have ATT Uverse. In my first home. Previous owner had satellite tv.
Got a poorly ventilated AV cabinet next to our tv where our main ATT router is located. Use an apple time time capsule for wifi and a small QNAP home server (plus voip hub, etc). So a lot of devices in this cabinet. Running into issues of over heating.
Trying to move things out of the closet so decided to buy a MoCA kit from Actiontec. Figured it would be a straight forward process of pug and plug with 2 devices. Well, the adapters are not communicating. I've got 3 coax outlets in my av cabinet, tried them all. Tried moving the moca adapters to rooms with only single outlets and they still won't "talk" to each other.
Is there something in terms of the outside wiring that would be needed to get these adapters to work?
