Mod problems

Hi I thought I'd try for some help with this here. I recently installed a
mod for UT2004. The mod was gibalicious. It basically makes the gibs more
explosive and pronounced. More blood body parts etc.
Well I didn't like it very much, just not my cup of tea, didn't seem to
blend well etc. So I removed the four files (it did not come with a umod
self installer).
The files are removed, the mutator is not selected or available, and yet
the results still seem to be there. All the gibs seem to be enhanced, and
it seems to be effecting my frame rates.

My question is, Is there a file I can check to see if it still has the
default settings for such a thing?

Check the .ini files. And take a look at the ZIP of the mod - perhaps
there were more files?

What I forgot to ask: did you concider asking the author of the mod?

No I didn't contact the author of the mod, although I might consider it.
I'm a big fan of some of the mods out there and have had a lot of fun so
far. Although I think adding mods and removing the ones that I don't really
like or don't really work is starting to cause problems. A full reinstall
might be in order.
Last night I couldn't join any servers for some reason. Nothing really
has changed except for the fact I played an invasion mod. (loads of fun,
and I may have tried to run a server)
Anyway I think I'll pick the mods I like and do fresh install with
just those files.

If you do a fresh install copy the SYSTEM folder somewhere else
then if you mess it up again you just have to delete SYSTEM and replace it
with your fresh copy
