I posted some WiP photos of my take on converting Cadians into
Stormtroopers. I'd appreciate some feedback.

You're doing this just to mess with me, aren't you! I went to
your Pbase site (not wanting to hurt your dainty feelings by not having
it bookmarked) - only to discover that not only aren't the conversion
pics there, but a bunch of the links to your painted War Jacks, etc that
I wanted to look at aren't working either. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

For those of you who might actually *want to see* Qrab's conversion pics
- try the RGMW Genbus Yahoo site.

As for feedback, I think the face shields are ok, though I do
think they look a little odd sticking out as far from the helmet as they
do. What I really like is the figure with the rebreather and goggles.
I like the modified 'Hellguns' as well - what are you using for the
front piece? The cut down marine packs look ok with the wiring, but
wouldn't it be easier to just buy some guitar strings rather than having
to hand wrap all the feed line wires from the packs to the guns?
Speaking of which - if you did get guitar wires, you could run some of
those like breathing tubes from the face masks to the packs as well,
which I think would look sweet with your rebreather and goggles set up.

#1582. I think they call it Warhammer "40K" because that is how
much you are going to have to make per year in order to play.

# 1082. Pound for pound I can buy cocaine cheaper than
raise a Warhammer army

Hrm. I just checked Pbase and for some reason some of the thumbnails
aren't working, but when I clicked on them, the full sized photo loaded
just fine.

D'oh! I forgot to mention the fact that they were on genbus & not pbase.

Keep in mind that is a first attempt that I banged out in a half an
hour. Also keep in mind that the extreme close up distorts some of the
scale. In the real, the face shield doesn't look like it sticks out that
far.

You and Hwang. That figures.

That is the end of a Kroot rifle. I made one where the las-gun was cut
back to just in front of the wide part of the rifle & then matched the
Kroot piece to it. It looked too short, so I didn't bother uploading it.

This is a proto-type, so I hand wrapped it. I'm looking into other
options in addition to guitar wire.

I plan on needing 20 - 40 of these guys, so I plan on keeping things a
little more simple.

I'm impressed by this, too.

My first thought would have been to resort back to Lego. This piece come to
mind:

(image search key words: lego hose flexible)
