Hello, I have a modem directly from my ISP that can use wireless, but the ethernet ports don't work. In the modem settings it sees the device, but no internet connection, why?
Shut down your computer and any other connected devices.
When all are shut down, unplug your modem for AT LEAST 30 seconds.
Plug your modem back in. You will note the sequence of lights as the modem goes through it's boot process.
When all the lights are lit and the PC connection light is either blinking (ready) of off (no devices), power up your computer.
Once your PC is fully up and you're logged in, what is the status of your connection light on your modem?
All good. I have a router(Asus AC-Rt66u) that won't connect to it. The router says my isp's DHCP is wrong. I think some setting in my modem may be screwed up but I don't know what to do.
