Modem keeps shutting off 1-2 times a day?

Hello i have a motorola modem and had it for the past 3-4 years. When i play online games sometimes it shuts down and trys to restart the modem and my router. What could be the issue should i get a new modem?

You mean it reboots itself? yes that's bad. I would make sure it gets enough ventilation, use a household vaccum to suck away all the accumulated dust from the slits. Open it up if you have to.
