Modem not coming on

So my modem has been having the disconnect/reconnect problem for a month or so now. But now, the power light isn't even on. I checked everything, made sure it was plugged in, made sure the power strip was on, even tried reseting it but nothing's working, it's just off. I was wondering if these two problems were connected and if there's a way to fix this? Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong?
