I have ASUS CUSL2C MB with cel 633@750. I also use SB live 5.1 and 3com PCI winmodem...When I have music in background and I disconnect from the Internet or after connecting when computers are negotiating protocols, music "skips" for a second...I use WinXP as an OS. Please can someone help me to solve this problem???

the computer is just busy for a sec while it does those things, im sure you can cope with a little skip.

Teh problem is not your modem, it's the crappy Live soundcard. Try setting your BIOS to "PNP OS-NO" and reserve IRQ5. Doing this will cause BIOS to configure your IRQ's before bootup and Windows will put the SB16 compatability mode (the cause of many problems) on the now-free IRQ 5.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
