Modem/router, Stuck for choice

My knowledge of this side of computing is almost non existent, so i need help choosing a new modem.

EDIT: After some sort of searching i think i need a High performance N600 Modem/Router that has Dual Band like the Netgear DGND3300 but somehow cheaper.

Used for:
Gaming
Multiple Laptops/wireless dongles
Streaming to entertainment system

I just want to get the best one, the one that offers the most for the cheapest. but i don't know what to look for.

what ever device you decide on make sure it is compatible with your ISP. Not every modem or modem/router will work with all ISPs.

personally I prefer to have a modem and a separate router
