Hi,

This is the full setup I'm trying to configure:

modem
--router a
----devices
----switch a
------devices
------router b
--------devices
------switch b
--------devices
--------router c
----------devices

Switches: d-link dgs-1005d
Routers: tp-link 671c (5g)

In short, it comes down to wether or not it's possible to have
modem > router > switch > router

Is it possible with the hardware listed above?

PS: there is one device that needs to be connected to the first router through the 2 switches. (And laying out 1 direct cable is not an option at the moment).

@USAFret
Thank you for a quick reply. Really appreciate it.

That's correct, the Router B and C is used for coverage only.
So, the described setup will work as long as the Router B and C is turned into AP's, is this correct?

Yes, thats the idea.
Basically, you turn off most of the 'router' functions. Router A does all the DHCP and other router things.
B & C are simply WiFi sources.

Correct

Converting Router B and C to AP's did the trick!
The setup works.

A few bottle necks that I had during the whole process:
- I wasn't able to find out the IP range of the main Router (A). It's the Router from the ISP and it seems the only way to access its config screen, is through the website. And I couldn't find the range there.
So I had to make guesses.
Tried a few IP's, and eventually, .60 and .65 worked for me to setup under Network > LAN of Router B and C.
- Also, the Powerline adapter brought the entire network down each time I connected it to the Switch A. So for now, I left it out of my setup (it's nice to have, but isn't really mandatory for me at the moment).

Anyway, thank you, @USAFret.
