I have connected my computer directly to the Cisco DPQ3212 Cox Modem and the internet works just fine, but when I had set up the Linksys EA6300 the router does not connect to the internet. I have the computer connected correctly through the router and the router is directly connected to the modem and won't connect to the internet.

Have you called your ISP? Sometimes when purchasing new equipment you have to contact your ISP to allow them to send internet through the modem to router.

However, go to the router's settings usually done by accessing the browser and typing in 192.168.1.1 and typing in the username and password usually provided under the router. I'd recommend updating your Router and going from there.

I trust that the setup is correct. I'd check with the ISP first. I'm sure someone would have another idea of what this could be. Thought I'd give it my two cents.
