Ok Im going to use a modem with 1 Ethernet port and Im trying to run two routers across my house. (No I'm not going to use a wifi extender. It has to be the two routers) so my question is: "how in the heck do I split that one Ethernet port on my modem?" Is there something I can buy to share the two active connections? If you need more info just reply below

No, it doesn't work like that.

Your modem gives out one and only one IP address. To the first device it sees.
The router can give out multiple internal IP addresses.

What you want is:
modem -> router -> switch.
So basically this is your diagram??
Modem ----- 2 Routers ?? Unless your modem knows how to hand out 2 ip addresses, then adding a switch in between shouldnt be a problem...

Why not just do Modem----Router------2 Routers?
