Hey everyone.

I'm thinking of re purposing my Dad's old PC Case (Lian Li PC65) and maybe replacing the front USB ports.

Would it be easier to modify it to make it more modern or are there similar PC cases now that look like the PC60 or PC65?

Edit: I'm taking out his old stuff (2 Athlon MP 2000+s, K7D Master mobo, 6600GT) and putting in much newer stuff (Ryzen 5 2600, ROG B350-F, RTX 2060)

You can always use a front panel 5.25" multipurpose bay to hold usb3.0 and other stuff; that is easy.
As much as I like the quality of lian li, the PC65 does not have the front airflow intake capability that modern processors and graphics cards require.
Think at least 2 120/140mm front intakes that are filtered.

That's a really good idea, I hadn't though of that haha.

Actually it does have 2 fans on the front for intake (I think they're 80mm but am not sure)
I'm also looking at the be quiet! Pure Base 600 which has the same simple/sleek look to it, would it be smarter to just buy that instead of using that older case?

Unfortunately I'm a weirdo that still uses optical media and need a 5.25'' bay for a blu ray drive, but this is the best option for a normal person, hence the solution haha
