Hi all
I'll start by providing my PC specs:

System Manufacturer: MSI
System Model: MS-7A65
BIOS: 1.30 (type: UEFI)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16348MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 1080

My issue comes with Call of Duty. When I run this game, my CPU is being heavily hit.
If I don't do anything, and play, it feels a bit smooth, but I have the heaviest mouse input lag, or like, partial movement only.
What I have to do is go to Task Manager, Details, and set PRIORITY to Above-Average, (from the default high).
I can't really alt tab and go on chrome, or use discord or any COMS while playing MW.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks so much!

You can check your CPU usage, but I expect that 4c/4t cpu is holding you back, as that game is wanting more core/threads, than yours can provide. Easy option, is drop a 7700k into your board, but those can be quite expensive, even used. Better options would be an upgrade to a Ryzen 3600/3700x with B550/X570, or an i5 10600k, with a Z490 board.

Thanks for the answer. COD is the only game giving me a problem :/
My board would hold me back from upgrading CPU right?

IF I were to be able to get my hands on a 7700K, do you think this would last for a while?
Cause to just change the CPU is easier etc and trying to be as safe as possible while I can't get much help currently to replace parts on my computer.
Thanks
