Modmic 4.0 not capturing voice as before

Hi guys,

I've been using a modmic 4 with my Hero VIII for a year now and it has been working perfectly. However, while joining friends today I noticed that the mic was not capturing my voice as before: I had to boost mic volume (windows setting) from 40 to 80 to be heard by my friends.
For the record, I did not change anything recently in my pc nor did I update a single driver. The only "unusual" thing I did recently was to use Shadowplay (bf1 phantom program 😀).

Any idea of what the problem might be ?

Shadowplay sometimes muffles or reduces mic volume, try disabling it and testing again, or adjusting audio device settings.

I tried disabling shadowplay: did not change a thing 🙁
