Modmic Recommendations for Superlux HD668B

Hi guys,

As the title says I am looking for a modmic for use with the 668B for gaming and skype. I was hoping for something under $20 but all I can find is the Zalman Zm-mic1 which seems fairly low quality based on Amazon reviews. I also can't find anywhere that ships to NZ. I don't really want to spend $50 on the Antlion.

Any thoughts/advice?

If I'm not mistaken the 668b comes with detachable cord right? You may want to try the V-moda boompro mic which is pretty good and can be plug in there, the downside is it's not fully compatible and you have to tape it on your cans so its probably not a good choice and its 30 dollar, probably out of your range. Anyway since you mentioned you are going to use the Zalman Zm-mic1 I would assume you have a female to female headphone adapter ready anyway so you could use that to make up for the compatibility issue without taping it, if you don't such adapter cost like 1 to 3 dollars each on amazon.

Speaking of compatibility the 668b is not compatible with most such mics as it has a male adapter for the output instead of a female one like everyone else, the downside is...well as above, while the advantage is you can buy any audio cable extension and use that for your headphone without any issue.
