Molex Coonection for fans

i was wondering if running a fan off a molex adapter to the power supply will make the fan spin slower or faster? As i have heard some people say it will be faster and others say slower.

It will run at full speed on the molex.

Connecting the fans to the psu will run them at full speed and will not allow you to monitor RPM's
Never heard of fan temperature monitoring
