molex to 4pin

Hello, I've already asked about using a 4 pin psu on an 8 pin motherboard, and people said that it'd work, but some of them also mentioned that I might need an adapter, would these molex to 4p cables work?

Now this is only temporary until I get a new power supply in like 2 months.

those work for low power boards and CPUs, just an advice, don't use those adapters with CPUs over 65w because you could overload the PSU
if it has only 4 pin that means the unit wasn't made to be used with 8 pin boards that usually require more watts than those the PSU rail can deliver, simple logic
