Hi Everyone, I would really appreciate a review and possible advice for a new build I'm working on:

Processor -> AMD RYZEN 5 3600X 6-Core 3.8 GHz (4.4 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 95W 100-100000022BOX Desktop Processor

CPU Cooler -> Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan

Motherboard -> ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, 12+2 with Dr. MOS Power Stage, HDMI, DP, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Aura Sync RGB Lighting

Video Card -> EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC GAMING, 08G-P4-3172-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans, RGB LED, Metal Backplate

RAM -> G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GVKC

Drive -> SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS 500GB Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7S500B/AM

Power Supply -> CORSAIR RM Series RM650 CP-9020194-NA 650W ATX12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply

Case (hopeing to re-use from the last time I built a machine) -> AZZA Hurrican 2000 CSAZ-2000 Black SECC Japanese Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

OS -> Windows 10 Home - 64-bit - OEM

A couple quesitons:

  1. Is the MOBO overkill?
  2. Will the RAM work at 3600 or will it get slowed down to 3200 becuase I have 2 sticks? I imagine it is fine but I saw a post from someone saying they had problems.
  3. Is the power supply good enough?
Thanks in advance!

Are you going to be mainly gaming? You could save quite a bit of money on the mobo if you don't need any of the x570 specific features.

and save money on SSD whilst also having 1TB vs 500GB as if you're mainly gaming you won't notice the difference in load times.

Are you trying to buy everything from newegg? You would save about $120 with these parts or similar but maybe there are better deals out there even.

Great questions.

Yes, mainly gaming.

I linked to newegg for simplicity. I'm checking around different places for better pricing.

Thanks for the tips, I'll check the links out.

What are the main extra features of the 570 vs 450?

Sorry for all of the questions, looking for wifi too. Is it best to get it in the MOBO or buy a wifi card?

Something like this would suit your needs and I'm not sure what your budget is but you could go for 16gb RAM over 32gb and save $80 if you wanted. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jB...-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c16d-16gvkc

Didn't include a wifi adapter I'll leave that up to you. I've done a lot of reading on builds myself recently but I'm by no means one of the more experienced people on this website so if you like the look of this I'd advise linking this build and get a couple more opinions before pulling the trigger. Definitely looks solid though.
