I have a monitor with a 3.5mm jack output. When I connect headphones to this jack, it functions as expected, with audio playing. However, when I connect my Logitech Z333 speakers (which have a 3.5mm jack) all I get is a buzzing noise. I have tested the speakers with a phone and with the audio out on the PC and they function correctly. However, they are not working when connected to the monitor.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to rectify this issue. I need to connect the speakers via the monitor so that both my PC and Xbox can use them, as the monitor has no speakers. It is a Samsung 28 inch. (I have had this setup working with a different monitor, but I am not sure why it will not work this time).
