Monitor Advice

I'm looking to do a 3 monitor setup for gaming and video editing, given this monitor has pretty small bevels - will it be a good choice performance wise?

It seems good, aside from the fact that it has a 7ms latency. The latency is really preference, if you are really paranoid about the slightest lag than you could try for a 2ms - 3 ms monitor. As far as the refresh rate goes, it's 60. This wont really be a problem since the human eye can only see at about 60 but i guess if you wanted you could try for an 85 hz or 120.

I was concerned about that too, but I was reading around the web and a lot of people were saying that latency is never really accurate and not to base it off of that.

Do you have anything better you'd recommend? I'd like to keep the purchase of all 3 monitors under $1000 if possible.

How big are you looking for? I personally love ASUS monitors; they are crisp and clear.

Usually a 23'' or 24'' is great for gaming and general use, i don't know why you wanna go 27'' in a triple mode also.

Yes, I was thinking 23" or 24" since it will be a triple set up.

Stick to ASUS and you'll usually get great quality when it comes to monitors. The one I linked is what I would get in your situation but since you have a larger budget you might look for something else. But why spend more money when its not necessary? 😛

True IPS based monitors start from $500 and it's more intended for Graphics designers.
