Monitor at 60Hz but graphics at 75Hz?

hello all,,,these are my specs:
asus p8b75
i3-3210
gskill ripjaws 4gb ddr3
seasonic 520w psu
acer X193HQ monitor(VGA)
creative speakers 2.1
sapphire hd 7770 ghz edition

i dont understand,,my monitor supports 60Hz but GPU is set at 75Hz? What does it mean?

Any idea guys?

not a prob it means your monitos supports max of 60hz but if you have a 120hz monitor your gpu can support & refresh at 75hz on a 120 hz monitor. not a problem
