Hi all.

Had this problem a while now and looking for answers.

Monitor keeps going black during gameplay and freezes the game. However I continue with other tasks as usual. I have changed GPU and tried another monitor but cant work out the issue.
I have posted 2 youtube videos showing the problem.

Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600X
EVGA 600 BQ
ASRock AB350M Fatal1ty
AMD RX Vega 56
2x4gb corsair 3000 mhz RAM

Please can anyone help??!

I've used HDMI, DVI and I've connected my PC to my roommates 1440p monitor with a display port cable.
My original build was with a 1050 ti GPU. I was hoping it was the problem as I only got it temporarily until the new vega GPU was available so I now have the Vega 56 with AMD drivers. I have updated, reinstalled etc drivers for both GPUs yet the problem persists.

I've performed a stress test on CPU and that works fine.

It's very odd. It's as if the PC is trying to find/use another input randomly during gameplay, freezing and crashing my current game.

So far no one can workout what is the issue

My next guess would be something wrong with windows or maybe power supply. You could try cleaning your registry with CCleaner and try another power supply if you have one.

I did a factory reset of the system and reloaded my windows 10 OS so I'm ruling it out. I don't like the latest version of windows as you are now very limited with options on the display menu. I've seen a lot say turn off hardware accelerator however there is no option to do that anymore! I turned it off in my chrome browser but still no fix.

Also seen alot of people blaming PSU for possible issues so might have to replace that next and see how things are. I don't see how it could be affecting my system in such a way, but it seems to be the next obvious step. If it still isn't fixed afterwards, I'm at a loose end

Yeah it's most likely PSU not giving a steady current needed when doing heavier tasks. Or it could be something as simple as power draw from your surge protector or outlet maybe? Highly doubt it but possibly.
