Monitor blinking and showing weird colours

Hi, so i recently just build a new pc. I bought a ASUS monitor and I have also bought arma 3. When im playing arma it is constantly quitting because it says it has timed out for some reason. And if I can manage to stay in the game, my monitor keeps showing weird colours all over the screen. The pc is worth over 1k and I am getting very angry
