Hello,

Have been looking at 20" PC Monitors at Best Buy and Staples, and it is really confusing. The big problem is that it is impossible to really compare them well, as one does not know how well they have been optimized, and set up. One to one valid comparisons are rough.

Have been trying to compare the Samsung 2033 Sw vs the Samsung
P 2070.

One of the biggest differences, according to the specs, is the Brightness.
The 2033 has 300 NIT and the 2070 only 250.

Questions: For home usage, do you feel the 250 would be adequate ?
Why ?

It seems that "most" 20", and above, monitors have at
least 300 (but not all).

It did seem that that the 2033 was Brighter, even with going into the menu for the 2077 and making the Brightness 100%.

Would be most grateful for any opinions on this.

Thanks,
Bob

I recently got an asus monitor. 300 nits. I like it and have it set at 90% brightness in the menu. My laptop is rated at 200 nits.

It kinda depends on where you want to use it. In well lit classrooms I find my laptop to be too dark. I have to adjust the angle or use my body to block some of the lights. At home it's fine but my 300 nit monitor i find better. The room it's in is not the best lit room, kinda average lighting inside.

I would go for the 300 nit monitor for sure. I wouldn't be happy with anything less for my desktop.
