AOC G2460PQU worked great for a couple years. Then it completely died with zero power with a burnt odor which lasted a min(no standby lights or otherwise. A full day of trying to turn it on) . Seemed completely bricked.

It's still under warranty so as I was prepping it for RMA , I noticed vape juice all around the vent(I vape a lot around it) I decided to use a blower in the vent , to at least spread if not dry the juice as much as possible , to avoid voiding the warranty. Ejuice is very thick and doesn't easily dry

I then decided to attempt to turn it on and to my surprise it's working 100% so far.

thoughts? is it gonna die again soon? How could it smell burnt and completely bricked yet fully work again? it's been working for hours with no hitches

Jokes aside. How do you figure a fire hazard? I don't know anything about capacitors or how a fire would happen. I assume there's fail safes. thanks for the info tho
