hi
i bought a dvi-d cable for my monitor recently and the cable make the screen go black for like 1 or 2 second every 5-6 hours.
i'm quite sure it's because of cable because i got my friend's dvi-d cable and i didn't have that issue with his cable.
screen going black for 1sec is not annoying but i just wanna know is there any chance that it will damage my monitor somehow?
or it will get worse ( like screen get black every 1 or 2 hours in future...) ?
should i return the cable?

If you have the opportunity to return it, then do just that.

Either the cable is simply just bad, or the slight monitor wobble over many hours makes it a little loose (causing the short black screen periods), since it either wasn't or can't be tightened/fastened properly to the female port.

What I just mentioned I've tried twice anecdotally. One had scuffed threading on both screws and the other had an excess piece of protruding plastic making the connector crooked.
