Question Monitor Cable unplugging while on damage it?

I just got a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor and I love it! The only issue Im having is that the power cord doesn’t seem to want to stay in. Randomly while i’m in a game it will turn off because my desk slightly moved and the power cord came out. I’m trying to find a way to get it to stay in, but I’m wondering if monitors are like PC’s and can be damaged if they are unplugged while they are on?
