monitor calibration hardware/software?

Im tired of playing with monitor settings and test images and gpu driver settings and game settings and win color profiles and whatever other settings.

Is the calibration hardware from Spyder or other brands worth checking out? They sell one around $60 ish...

*did some research and these calibration tools are definetly what i want. I only need for gaming and movies and browsing. Needs to do color and ambient lighting (il set up few profiles for day and night). Im not sure what other features i would want but i dont want to make a mistake and buy the extreme kits that can handle alot more then what i need.

Spyder and xrite are all i know. Which series from them?

I have a hueyPro, and it was invaluable when I used it.
About to plug it in again for my current monitors.

Personally use the x-rite ColorMunki. Terrible name aside it's a solid calibrator.
