Monitor decision

I'm currently trying to decide what monitor to get. I'll be using it alongside my 720p hdtv for a dual monitor setup. I'll be using the new monitor mostly for gaming. I have an hd 5850 graphics card, so power is not an issue. I've been researching monitors for a while on many different sites, and I have found a few choices. I sit a few feet away from the monitor normally.
Edit: I'm running Windows 7, currently. I'm not sure if that would have any driver issues or even be an issue, but just putting that out there.

1) As the monitor's size increases and resolution stays constant, does the image quality decrease a noticeable amount?

2) Is there a brand that stands out?

3) Will I notice ghosting on any of these monitors? (no monitor has >5ms response time, but I'm not sure if that's gray to gray or not)

4) Finally, I've seen more and more 1920x1080 monitors coming out. Are pc games headed in that direction, or is this another resolution I should look into?

Thanks in advance for any replies, and any other monitor suggestions that I may have missed are welcomed.

The Hanns-G is the best monitor on your list. There is a reason why it is a 6 time customer choice winner on Newegg! This is a massive monitor and worth every penny and worth every dollar over comparable Asus, Acer, and Ben-Q monitors; the Samsung 26" is a close second.

1)Image quality does not decrease as monitor size increases.
2) From this list, Hanns-G and/or Samsung 26". Hanns-G is the better value.
3) No ghosting issues, not with the Hanns-G or Samsung.
4) For gaming, 1900x1200 is a preferred resolution. This higher the better! Don't get me wrong 1080p is nice, but playing COD4:MW, COD:W@W, Wolfenstein, and Gears of War at 1900x1200 with lots of eye candy is friggin sweet!

i will go with samsung T260 because i had bad experience with Hanns·G JW-199DPB (4 dead pixels) and now im using T240 and simply amazing. i dont want to say that hanns g is bad but samsung is better overall for me.
