Question Monitor died after plugging in a new one.

I purchased a second monitor, just a basic 27' acer to use as a second monitor. When I plugged it in, my old monitor just shut off and will not turn on anymore. I have tried switching ports, cables, etc. Any ideas?
It would really suck if my expensive main monitor got fried by the cheap secondary.

By chance did you change your settings on your pc to setup dual monitors? I'm assuming that you have both plugged into a dedicated Graphics and not on board?

Yep ive fiddled with all the settings I can find, both are plugged into my GPU, GTX 1080

Test the monitor on another system.
