Hi,
I currently have a 60Hz 1080p 24 inch monitor and am looking to upgrade.
My Current setup is an i5 6500 CPU and a GTX960 - yep its getting old.
I use my setup for alot of univeristy work, but also for gaming on weekends.

There are so many variables and Im just not sure what monitor to go with.

Ideally, I want a 27inch 144hz 1440p monitor, but will my current setup be able to keep up with this?
If not, is a 1080p 27inch recommended? Or would I rather go a 24inch 1080p? The bigger monitor would definetly be appealing, but will it look terrible in games at 1080p?
From what Ive heard IPS would be better; but only if I can get it at 1MS

24inch monitor options I'm looking at:
  • Acer Nitro VG252QP 24.5" Full HD G-SYNC-C 144Hz 1MS HDR400 IPS LED Gaming Monitor $379.00
  • ASUS TUF VG259Q 24.5" Full HD G-SYNC-C 144Hz 1MS IPS LED Gaming Monitor $399.00
  • ASUS VG258QR 24.5" Full HD G-SYNC-C 165Hz 0.5MS LED Gaming Monitor $409.00
  • Acer Nitro VG252QX 24.5" Full HD G-SYNC-C 240Hz 1MS HDR400 IPS LED Gaming Monitor $539.00
27inch monitor options:
  • ASUS VG278Q 27" Full HD G-SYNC-C 144Hz 1MS LED Gaming Monitor $419.00
  • Gigabyte G27Q 27" 144Hz QHD 1MS HDR G-Sync Compatible IPS Gaming Monitor $529.00
  • LG UltraGear 27GN750-B 27" Full HD G-SYNC-C 240Hz 1MS HDR10 IPS LED Gaming Monitor $599.00
  • Acer Nitro VG272UP 27" WQHD G-SYNC-C 144Hz 0.7MS HDR400 IPS LED Gaming Monitor $629.00
Im split and cant decide, any help would be appreciated :)
Thanks,
Oosti

EDIT: Also will be using my old 24 inch monitor as a second monitor.
Maybe I should just upgrade my graphics card to a RTX2060 Super ??
